Website Service Agreement
This agreement is between Jerry Feng and you ("Client"). It outlines the services provided, responsibilities of both parties, and terms of our working relationship.
Services Provided
I will deliver:
- A custom-built, mobile-friendly website optimized for speed and performance
- Professional hosting with 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Regular maintenance and security updates
- Basic content updates (up to 2 hours per month)
- Technical support and troubleshooting
The website will be built following fundamental web development best practices that create a solid foundation for future SEO optimization if desired.
Payment Terms
Pricing: $499 one-time setup fee + $29/month subscription
The one-time setup fee covers building your website and the first month of service. Your recurring monthly subscription billing begins in month 2, on the same calendar day as your initial signup. If you cancel your subscription, you'll continue to receive service until the end of your current billing period with no partial refunds.
Client Responsibilities
As the Client, you agree to:
- Provide feedback on the website design when requested
- Complete the DNS update to connect your domain (with guidance provided)
- Maintain ownership and renewal of your domain name
- Supply any new content you wish to add to the website
- Ensure all website content complies with applicable laws
Ownership Rights
You retain full ownership of all content, logos, trademarks, business information, and your domain name. I retain rights to the website code and design templates, while granting you a license to use the website for as long as your subscription remains active.
Term and Termination
This agreement begins upon initial payment and continues until terminated by either party.
Client Termination: You may cancel at any time. Your service will continue until the end of your current billing period with no partial refunds. For example, if you pay on the 1st of the month and cancel on the 15th, you'll still have access to your website and support until the end of that month.
Jerry's Termination: I may cancel this agreement with 30 days written notice. Upon my termination, you will receive a static copy of your website content if requested, and I will assist with transitioning to a new provider if needed.
In either termination case, the one-time setup fee is non-refundable.
Limitation of Liability
My liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the previous 12 months. I am not responsible for indirect damages or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content of your website. I reserve the right to refuse service for websites containing illegal or prohibited content.
Agreement Acceptance
By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. No physical signature is required; your payment serves as acceptance of this agreement.
